We Few

Class/Design: AMF 2100
Year Built: 1982
Builder: AMF

History of the boat:

Runneth Over spent most of her early life on it’s trailer at the Mt Vernon Yacht Club. She was purchased by her current owner in August of 2008. Winning the L/cup in 2008 and 2009 with original sails is a testament to how little the boat had been sailed by her former owners.

About the owner:

Capt. Bill has been sailing out of the Washington Sailing Marina for many years and has owned a variety of boats. He is the former Commodore of Washington DC Hobie Fleet (#196), Rear Commodore of Potomac River Sailing Association (PRSA) National Y/C and Sailing Club of Washington Board member. He has raced PHRF, IMS, and One Design Boats on the bay. And has logged many “Blue Water” miles in the Med, along the west coast of Africa, The Canarie Islands and passages from Annapolis to The Virgin Islands. Capt. Bill enjoys restoring boats and optimizing their sailing qualities.

Crew on the sloop hosts a wide range of sailing experience. From collegiate racers to curious amateurs. Bill gives many sailing enthusiasts the opportunity to hone their skills. The only thing he asks in return is that from time to time they volunteer for the many “Tuning” Days.
